Unlike traditional Er:YAG lasers, the Era Elite offers full control over ablation depth and thermal effect, allowing providers custom treatments from light peels to full resurfacing—all in a single device. It also integrates seamlessly with Aerolase's Neo Elite for combination protocols that treat both the dermis and epidermis.
The Era Elite effectively treats wrinkles, fine lines, acne scars, sun damage, pigmentation, melasma, uneven tone and texture, and surgical or traumatic scars. It can also be used for preventative and corrective aging treatments.
Many patients see visible improvements after a single treatment. However, for deeper wrinkles, scars, or severe sun damage, a series of 2–3 sessions spaced several weeks apart may be recommended for optimal results.
Most patients tolerate the procedure well. A topical anesthetic is typically applied before treatment to enhance comfort. The Er:YAG wavelength also causes less thermal damage than CO2 lasers, resulting in a more comfortable experience.
