This innovative laser delivers the required fluences for non-invasive procedures by delivering a sub-millisecond pulse of super high wattage (over 15,000 watts) laser energy in a Pulse Width of 0.65 msec – slightly below the TRT (Thermal Relaxation Time) of the skin tissue. Clinical research has shown that operating below but close to the TRT provides maximum efficacy yet avoids non-selective thermal damage to surrounding tissue, thus eliminating treatment pain and the need for continuous skin cooling or direct skin contact with the laser. The laser’s unique MicroPulse technology packs the necessary energy for effective treatment in an optimum submillisecond pulse duration, delivering high efficacy with virtually no pain – especially on darker skin types – and without skin contact or skin cooling. Applications

Pain-free, permanent hair reduction
Thanks to its groundbreaking MicroPulse-1064 technology, the LightPod Neo provides high power for efficient hair removal in a pulse duration that is safe for all skin types. The Neo handpiece does not contact the skin and does not utilize any skin cooling, which eliminates the mess and cost of gels & sprays while saving treatment time. The absence of skin cooling also increases safety, unlike other devices which use skin cooling to mask treatment pain.

 

Pseudofolliculitis Barbae (PFB or ingrown hair)
PFB is a painful condition which can now be treated safely and without pain using the Neo – thanks again to its MicroPulse-1064 technology. It is exceptionally safe and gentle for treatment of skin that is tanned or of Fitzpatrick skin types IV-VI.

 

Photorejuvenation & skin tightening
Because of the exceptionally high power per pulse associated with MicroPulse-1064 technology, the Neo stimulates rapid collagen remodeling in the skin for improvements of surface tone & texture as well as a skin tightening effect.
